Immigration Evaluation
Services

Clinical evaluations for the following types of cases when the individual is physically located in the state of Colorado:

Asylum | Cancellation of Removal | Hardship Waivers |

U-Visa | T-Visa | VAWA

With over 15 years of experience working with immigrant families in a variety of settings, I understand that the immigration process can be complicated and overwhelming. The emotional and psychological impact of your experiences can be a key element to your case, but you cannot trust your story to just anyone. In scheduling your psychosocial assessment with me, you can be assured that you and your attorney will receive a well-written, comprehensive, and objective report that immigration authorities can take into consideration in making decisions about your case.

Age range: toddler through adult

I bring extensive experience assessing and treating the early childhood population, adolescents, and caregivers who have experienced trauma.

What to expect from an immigration evaluation

Call or contact me via my website for an initial consultation

Step 1

Schedule two clinical interviews (appointments) where I will ask you about your personal/family history, education, work, and your physical/mental health. Depending on your case, there are additional topics we will discuss which I can explain in your initial consultation. Appointments will total approximately two to four hours.

As part of these interviews, I may also provide you with assessments or other screening tools to complete.

Step 2

I will thoroughly review any important documents applicable to your case including, but not limited to, medical records, police reports and educational records.

Step 3

Within two weeks after the

final interview, a comprehensive report will be compiled that meets the requirements of your case including your personal history and any diagnoses, if applicable. It will be provided to you and your attorney.

Step 4

  • Do you work with attorneys?
Consultation with your attorney is included on all evaluations. A Release of Information will be required. Additionally, upon receipt of full payment, a draft of the report can be sent to your attorney for review and feedback.
  • What languages do you provide evaluations in?
I speak English and Spanish fluently. If you speak a language other than English or Spanish, a professional interpreter can be acquired for an additional fee.
  • Are evaluations done in person or online?
Most evaluations are conducted via HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. In person evaluations for adolescents and adults are available on a case-by-case basis. Evaluations for children under 12 must be conducted in person.
  • Can you provide therapy?
Although I cannot ethically be you or your child’s therapist, I will provide each client with a list of therapists and resources in their area to address any treatment recommendations. In-session support including teaching of coping skills and provision of psychoeducation is incorporated, as needed.
  • I need a report ASAP, can you help?
Expedited reports are possible and available for an additional fee.
